Ellen Pompeo & Family: Lunch In West Hollywood

Ellen Pompeo and and husband Chris Ivery were spotted taking their adorable daughter Stella, 1-1/2, out to lunch in West Hollywood, Calif. on Saturday (August 6).

Little Stella was so hungry she could eat a horse - a horse book, that is. The youngster was seen biting down on a book of equines.

'Bachelor Pad' Preview: What to Expect This Season

'Bachelor Pad' Preview: What to Expect This Season

"I hope she falls 3,000 feet to her death."

That's one of the Jake Pavelka quotes featured in the promos for season 2 of Bachelor Pad (premiering Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC). So,who do you think he's referring to? Could it possibly be his ex-fiancée Vienna Girardi -- the Bachelor contestant who won his heart and then his hatred a couple seasons back?

ABC sure knows how to entice viewers to check out this reality competition, which pits former contestants against one another in a series of dating-and-sex-related challenges for a $250,000 cash prize. A sample challenge? In one episode, the men will be shooting paint balls at the bikini-clad women, who will have targets on their rear ends. Yes, it's that classy.

The show has cast both Pavelka and Girardi -- title holders of the show's most explosive and rancorous breakup. Joining them will be Girardi's new boyfriend, the dim-witted Kasey Kahl, who embarrassed himself during season 6 of The Bachelorette by getting a tattoo in Ali Fedotowsky's honor -- and getting dumped by her soon thereafter. Per the promo, Kahl wants to punch Pavelka in the face.

In her second Bachelor Pad go-round, Gia Allemand will no doubt stir up trouble, given her friendship with Pavelka and professed dislike of Girardi. And remember the guy who walked off Ali's season after she discovered that he had a girlfriend back home? Yeah, Justin "Rated R" Rego will be there, too. So Pavelka will also have competition on the "who's the biggest jerk?" front.

Of course, Pavelka's message in promotional interviews has been all teddy bears and rainbows. Interviewed on Access Hollywood, Pavelka says he joined the show for some closure with Giraradi. Apparently, he didn't want their final on-screen meeting to feature him screaming at her to shut her mouth.

Let's see if he can do it!

First Firefox 6 build next week, Firefox 7 by May, and aurora channel introduced

Firefox 5, 6, 7 and release channels
Mozilla's Engineering Project Manager, Christian Legnitto, has detailed the release schedule for Firefox 5, 6 and 7. If all goes to plan, Firefox 6.0a1 will be released next week, April 12, and Firefox 7.0a1 in the middle of May. The final build of Firefox 5 should be released on June 21, exactly three months after the release of Firefox 4.

Along with the faster 6-week release cadence, Firefox's new Chrome-like release channels have also been given names and anticipated update frequencies. The most notable change is the introduction of a new alpha channel -- which is analogous to Chrome Canary -- that will be called 'aurora' and will update nightly. Aurora will be where fixes and features are tested, and either approved for Beta, or backed out to Central. Aurora will have a new icon, too.

The Nightly (mozilla-central) channel will remain unchanged in name and frequency, but it will gain a new 'nightly icon.' The Beta (mozilla-beta) channel will remain as-is, with new builds rolling out weekly. The Release (mozilla-release) channel will also remain as-is, with security and stability updates coming every 6 to 12 weeks.

It should be noted that the names (including 'aurora') are not necessarily final, but it's unlikely that they'll change. We're also awaiting the arrival of the new 'channel switching' technology, which should arrive in the next few days -- in time for the release of Firefox 6 aurora!

Microsoft files antitrust complaint against Google in Europe, showdown imminent

Bill Gates and Paul AllenMicrosoft, citing Google's tyrannical 95% share of the European search market, has lodged a formal complaint with the European Commission. It's not like Microsoft is breaking any ground here -- the European Commission has been investigating Google's alleged violation of European competition law since November 2010 -- but there's no doubt that the addition of Microsoft's gravitas will affect the proceedings.

Microsoft's complaint reads like a sincere and plaintive cry for help against the Google Overlord. Microsoft lists no less than six damning reasons why Google's behavior is anti-competitive -- from Windows Phone 7's incompatibility with YouTube, to its nefarious handling of Google Books -- and finishes with a wide-eyed plea to the European Commission to please find Google guilty.

For those of you that have been following Microsoft's own antitrust troubles over the last decade, don't worry: MS is quick to point out the irony in the situation. "There of course will be some who will point out the irony in today's filing. Having spent more than a decade wearing the shoe on the other foot with the European Commission, the filing of a formal antitrust complaint is not something we take lightly. This is the first time Microsoft Corporation has ever taken this step. More so than most, we recognize the importance of ensuring that competition laws remain balanced and that technology innovation moves forward."

It sounds like Microsoft, having well and truly gone through the wringer, wants Google to be held similarly accountable. That's fair enough, right?

British royal family announces iOS and Android wedding app

William and KateTo celebrate the imminent marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Royal Collection will release an Android an iOS app that chronicles the last seven royal marriages, including Queen Victoria's marriage to Prince Albert in 1840.

Ironically, the app won't actually feature anything to do with William and Kate's marriage -- rather, it will focus on the "tradition, splendor and romance" that are intrinsic to British royal marriages. "[The app] will share the stories of past royal weddings and offer a wealth of historical context for the ceremony on April 29."

Unfortunately, the app, which has been lumbered with the fantastically creative name of 'Royal App,' won't be available until April 18 -- just 11 days before Kate's big day. It won't be free, either: it'll cost the rather princely sum of £1.79, or three of your Tea Party-loving dollars. The money will go to the Royal Collection, though, which is a good cause!
