Razer BlackWidow Stealth keyboards keep the mechanical keys, ditch the noise

Razer BlackWidow Stealth Edition
You know what's great? Mechanical keyboards -- what with their satisfying clicks. You know what's less awesome? Having to listen to that obnoxious racket all day. Razer claims you can have your cake (in this case, tactile feedback) and eat it too (blessed silence!) with its BlackWidow Stealth Editions. These are, more or less, the same boards that debuted last August, but with quieter switches and a matte finish. Both models are available now, with the same programmable keys and on-the-fly macro recording, while the Ultimate version adds "extreme anti-ghosting" to its already impressive noise pwnage. The standard model will run you a cool $80, while the Ultimate weighs in at a hefty $140. Check out the gallery below, as well as the PR and video after the break.

This time, we have a new piece of 411 about the Epic 4G Touch, Sprint's weapon of choice. According to leaked training documents that surfaced today, it appears the device will match the Hercules in screen size, receiving a healthy bump up to a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. True or not, we don't have much longer to wait before Sammy lets us in on all of the secrets these three Galaxy S II models have been keeping for so long.

Britney Spears Is 'Epitome Of Pop,' Says Demi Lovato

Britney Spears is set to get the tribute treatment this Sunday at the 2011 Video Music Awards. At 29, she may be younger than your typical awards show tribute subject, but looking back at Brit's catalog of great videos and memorable VMA moments, we think she deserves it.

As part of the new generation of pop stars following in Britney's footsteps, Demi Lovato is pretty excited to see how the icon will be honored on Sunday night.

"Who isn't a Britney Spears fan?" Lovato asked, just days before the show goes live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. "My favorite Britney Spears song is 'I Wanna Go,' 'cause it's the latest song that she has and I love it."

Go behind the scenes as Britney films her 2011 VMA promo.

Since Spears first took the VMA stage back in 1999, alongside 'NSYNC, she's managed to rack up five performances and take home four Moonmen, the first of which was back in 2008, over 11 years after her first appearance on the show. At this year's show, she's up for two awards for her video for "Till The World Ends," Best Pop Video and Best Choreography.

Demi has a simpler reason for a Britney tribute: " 'Cause she's the ultimate pop star; nobody can touch her," Lovato said. "She's been around for such a long time now and she's the epitome of pop. So when I think of pop music, I think of her."

While Demi is gushing about Brit's long pop career, she's poised to launch the next phase of her own. She will drop her album Unbroken next month. Its lead single, "Skyscraper," rocketed to the top of the charts when it was released earlier this summer.

What are you hoping to see in the Britney Spears tribute? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Index Leads $4 billion Valuation Round In Dropbox

screen-shot-2011-07-12-at-5-05-43-pmDropbox is finally moving to close that massive valuation venture round we've been talking about all summer. According to multiple sources, Index Ventures will lead the round, which values Dropbox at around $4 billion. At some point I hope that the entire story comes out about this round. Nearly everyone in Silicon Valley has taken a look. There was early interest at valuations of $8 billion or more, although one source says that it may have been firms who threw out huge numbers just to get a look at the company's financials. As of a couple of weeks ago I had "firm" information that the round would close at $5 billion or more.
